Sweet home, Aurora

For the past two weekends, I have been hosting car-cruise events with Goober_Goalie. The usual routine is that we meet up after buggy bash at 11 pm Eastern -- at the GBR dealership in Nitro. We then do a lap around the neighborhood before setting off on our destination.

On our first cruise, we drove North and then headed West along the coast of Aurora Island. We then headed South and stopped at San-Francisco Bay. Once there, we looked at pictures from Project Reality, an A.I. photo-project involving Gemini A.I.

For our second cruise, we headed South down Aurora and then gradually veered off in the direction of an island chain before arriving at my home. Almost everyone made it there fine, save for a few unfortunate souls who were promptly summoned.




Once at my home, a group of us watched a maritime mystery from Big Old Boats, a popular YouTube channel. This has become one of my favorite channels over the past year or so, and the production values are excellent. It offers deep dives into various mysteries and disasters at sea, many of which will be new to viewers.

During our two car cruises, Goober_Goalie has generously made several of his buggies available for use during our drives. And speaking of buggies, I have one of his limited-edition 2027 Spoolers in auctions, with an opening bid of 27,000 t-bucks. This is the only one remaining of the coyote-brown buggies, as all the others have been purchased. Check out the link below if you are interested!

Some of the members of our Mango-Market Fantasy-Football League gathered together at my draft headquarters last weekend and enjoyed chatting as well as picking players for our respective teams. All the teams look pretty balanced and competitive on paper, but Yahoo decided to flunk us all save for Kiry!




I think it will be a fun season, and the first NFL game will kick off at 8:20 pm Eastern time on September 9th, when the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks play each other in a Super Bowl rematch. I hope this one is more exciting than the big game last February!





Souupine from there.com is launching a blog, and I wanted to give her a shout out and thumbs up. Her blog is going to be "casual and lighthearted" in nature, and I am really looking forward to this creative endeavor that will not rely on A.I. like mine sometimes does!   Glob's YouTube sequel video dropped on May 24th, 2026, and I think most thereians would agree it was well worth the wait.  The first half unfolded like the director's cut of a popular film, and I thought it was fun and insightful to see extended conversations and various scenes play out in the sequel. I Spent 100 Days in a Dead Game I know some people in the comments section of YouTube were not happy with this format, but that's why the fast-forward button exists, of course. I had an afternoon free and was perfectly content with a nearly one-hour running time. Concert Under the Stars...

  On Saturday, March 7th, Words and Lyrics Cafe hosted musician Franklyn Woods for a two-hour concert. The event was a big success, with 35 people enjoying all or parts of the show. A special thank you goes to thereian Schlafstimulans  for helping out with the set up and soundchecks! Speaking of sound, pretty much everyone thought Franklyn sounded great on his Youtube livestream. He went through an impressive and wide-ranging catalog of original tunes infused with country and folk vibes. Franklyn also talked about how he often enjoys small venues rather than bigger spaces, since the audience's reaction is more up-close and personal in places like coffee shops and cafes.
