Glob's New Video and Recent Events...

Image
Glob's YouTube sequel video dropped on May 24th, 2026, and I think most thereians would agree it was well worth the wait.  The first half unfolded like the director's cut of a popular film, and I thought it was fun and insightful to see extended conversations and various scenes play out in the sequel. I know some people in the comments section were not happy with this format, but that's why the fast-forward button exists, people. I had an afternoon free and was perfectly content with a nearly one-hour running time. Upon finding out about the video's Sunday-afternoon release, I quickly created a watch-party event at my cafe and had a decent-sized crowd show up. Shout-out to Cazz_luv for creating a promo poster on the fly! Seeing various friends and familiar faces show up in Glob's video was cool. Over the past year, I have gotten to know Mortazel, Nuvora, and PumpkintoGo pretty well. Mistyaqua, Mortazel, and PumpkintoGo have also attended several of my podcast and ...

Odds and Ends...

I had an enjoyable and interesting Saturday evening -- dropping by PJ Pals for a bit and then enjoying some buggy bashing later in the evening. This time, I even managed to win a round, although it ended up being a tie with the formidable Landgoria. Is the check in the mail yet, Kiry? lol    Update: Thanks, man! Net Sleuths Newsletter I spent an extended time in the blogosphere on Friday and Saturday, first working on a new issue of Net Sleuths . This is my A.I. augmented newsletter that covers high-profile cases as well as lesser-known crimes in the news. The first entry on this month's issue of Net Sleuths is a new video on David Oranchak's Let's Crack Zodiac YouTube series. In this episode, David examines the claims of investigator Alex Baber, who theorizes that the 1947 Black Dahlia murder and 1960s Zodiac-Killer crimes were committed by the same person. David meticulously examines these claims and uses his skills as a computer programmer to inject a healthy dose o...

The Weekend...

Image
I hosted another event on May 9th, Saturday at my cafe, and a group of us watched the latest episode of Big Old Boats on YouTube. If you have not seen this series and enjoy maritime history, I highly recommend giving it a chance. This particular episode covered the history of lighthouses on the Eddystone Reef, a treacherous area located off the coast of England. You know the content is good when late arrivals will not depart until watching the entire video -- isn't that right, Sal? lol Here is a link in case you would like to check out this particular episode: Big Old Boats I've been slacking a bit recently in terms of hosting events at my cafe, but I am looking to pick up the pace in the next couple months. Look for a a future podcast event that covers the Guyana tragedy with Jim Jones. I also attended Kiry's weekend Buggy-Bash event for the umpteenth time. I was joking with a friend on there that people who participate are releasing their workplace frustrations and str...

Updated Guide for Mango Market...

Image
Mango Market continues to evolve, with a couple (unoccupied) storefronts disappearing and a new tenant being added. I have updated the map above to reflect these changes, with Fuzz Designs and AQC Quest Club  now represented by the letters P. and Q, respectively.   The new tenant at Mango Market is Punkster, whose Prism Punk store can be seen above. Drop by and browse her upscale LuxTux outfits, as well as Punkster's extensive auction collection that includes furniture, fashion, and even feline hoverbikes! Last night at a get-together, I mentioned to Punkster that I would be highlighting her store on my blog -- so check out her merchandise today! Pranks and a Guide to A.I.

Image
Ever since I started this blog in June, 2025, I have enjoyed using and experimenting with A.I. to produce written and visual content using various programs. It is a fast and easy way to provide useful and supplementary materials. I have also relied almost entirely on A.I. to produce my "NetSleuths" newsletter, which covers high-profile crimes in the news. Net Sleuths As everyone knows, A.I. can be used to generate realistic but FAKE stories and imagery. Just for fun, I blended a there.com photo with a Van Gogh painting, and also created an entertaining backstory for it. I also created a new "supercar" that had some of my friends believing it was real. Maybe "Soundshift Technology" will be an actual thing in the future! lol An Overlooked Gem VW Valkyrie I have also put together an A.I. guide for beginners that explains how to generate and manipulate imagery for one's blog, signs, promotional materials, etc. Check out the link below and let me know if ...

A Night of Terror...and Laughs!

Image
This past Saturday at Words & Lyrics Cafe, we enjoyed a radio play written by Shakeyspear. To the Dogs is a 25-minute audio drama that is a deft mix of horror and humor, along with a smattering of vintage cigarette ads. Perfect for an evening of light entertainment! To the Dogs: An Old-Time Radio Play After the play wrapped up, Corey, Rowdi Designs, and I enjoyed asking Bill (Shakeyspear) a number of questions regarding his theatrical career as a writer and actor. In addition to writing numerous plays, Bill has also enjoyed a long musical career as a guitarist. We were surprised AND very impressed to learn that he played guitar on Deborah Harry's most recent solo tour. Bill also remarked that Ms. Harry is one of the nicest and most gracious entertainers in the music industry. Before concluding the event, we told Bill that we would love to host another of his radio-play events at my cafe, and he concurred. Although we had a small group in attendance, I realized that a lot of ...

Buggy Bash at Bamboo...

Image
Here are some pictures of a recent Buggy Bash, hosted by BR34D at Bamboo. I had a great time and even managed to secure a win and 2k. It was actually a co-victory, however, as my buggy and the other remaining one collided and simultaneously exited the arena. Ty for a great event, BR34D! The smackdown of the night belonged to GroundhogSandy, who managed to eliminate two buggies with one collision. I just happened to be taking a photo when it happened, as you can see in the above image. On the left, one buggy has nearly landed, and another one is still airborne. Also have to congratulate Sandy for being a multi-match winner on the evening -- she won at least three by my count!
