Free Birds
This will probably be the last of my Lynyrd Skynyrd references for a while, but it was the best I could come up with on short notice. I was at my cafe chatting with Vanilla Dutch this afternoon, and he put out his impressive helicopter and fighter-jet collection for display. If any designers are planning on making some choppers like these, please let me know -- would love to own one!
Last week as I was getting ready to log off and head to bed, I got an IM from Droopy. He asked me to check out his shooting gallery, and I finally relented after mulling it over for a bit. What I did not know was that I would instantly become one of the moving targets. LOL
I experienced a bit of a West World vibe as I stood on a conveyor belt, occasionally getting blasted to the ground by an endless stream of paintballs. I have to admit it was fun, though, and I hung around for a bit before calling it a night. I guess I owed Droopy one after he entertained us at my big Super-Bowl party last February.
As I ramp up my blog for more articles by various authors this year, I decided it was time to add some Words and Lyrics office space as well. My solution came in the form of a three-story building by designer DirectX. This particular structure has some cool features tucked into it, and the brick walls and carpeting are two of my favorites.
The lighted helipad on the roof is also a plus, and the building will easily fit into a 20-drop paz if you are on a budget. Lastly, a shout-out to Vanilla Dutch for gifting me with a water cooler -- looks great in my 3rd-floor office.
Recently, I have noticed a big jump in the number of daily visitors to my blog. What is also interesting is that I have noticed an increase in the number of random visitors to my cafe on Mango Market Island. So I will conclude this entry with a BIG thank you to Souupine for creating more awareness of my blog and linking to it on her main page. Have a great weekend, everyone!
